JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and experienced BI developer with a strong proficiency in Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing advanced visualizations and possess expertise in data modeling. They should be well-versed in the entire lifecycle of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance.

Develop tools/scripts to support and improve current build and release process and continuous integration and delivery initiatives. Drive technology release strategy, execution, and improvements across development life cycle. Design a pipeline that minimizes manual involvement and leads to continuous improvements. Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and processes and improve productivity. Ensure the integrity of builds and artifacts to support successful production releases. Manage end-to-end availability, security, and performance of mission-critical release practices and environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Lead and participate in full lifecycle BI projects, including requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Design, develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytical requirements. Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
• Design, develop, and implement advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards using Power BI to provide insights into complex datasets.
• Identify and implement performance optimizations for Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure efficient data retrieval and visualization rendering.
• Implement data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security within Power BI solutions.
• Document data models, report specifications, and data integration processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability of BI solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users and internal stakeholders on Power BI functionality, best practices, and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams, to understand requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Education – bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with building and optimizing star schema models for reporting and analytics.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise software systems and integrating BI solutions within these systems.
• Experience leading or participating in full lifecycle BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Proven track record of designing and developing advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and deployment tasks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Proficiency in BI reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Expertise in ETL tools and processes (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS Google BigQuery).
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Java) for data management and analysis.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
